Myth: Allow your child to eat whatever he wants.
Truth: Children get increasingly fussy and detailed about what they enjoy and don't like to eat as they become older. While this may be annoying for some parents, it is extremely likely that if you allow your children to eat anything they want, they will gravitate toward harmful packaged foods. Make good eating habits appealing to children as well. This will help the kids develop healthier eating habits.
Myth: Allergenic foods should not be given to children.
Truth: Nuts, milk products, eggs, and other common allergenic foods are not dangerous to your children unless they are allergic to them. Many children regularly consume these foods and have no bad reactions to them for the rest of their life! If your child gets a skin rash, redness, or stomach discomfort after eating particular foods, visit a paediatrician and have your child tested before removing any foods from their diet.
Myth: My child gets all of his nutrients from a health drink powder mix mixed with milk.
Truth: If you look closely at the ingredients, you'll see that most products' sugar level exceeds the upper limit. The milk itself may provide the true health benefits that youngsters obtain from ingesting it. They merely enhance the flavour of milk. Milkshakes, for example, are always superior selections.
Myth: Sugar causes hyperactivity in children.
Truth: The sugar-hyperactivity myth is founded on a single study, which was later debunked. Many research have been undertaken since then, but none have been successful in proving it. To minimise cavities and early health concerns, it is definitely advisable to limit your child's simple sugar intake. However, you should not leave it at zero.
Myth: If your child rejects a food, he should not be given it again.
Truth: There are numerous reasons why people dislike certain foods. That is not to say they will never eat it again. The food can be reintroduced after a few days or weeks. If the youngster continues to dislike the food, it can be used in different recipes.
