Kim Kardashian's Aggressive Crash Diet For Met Gala 2022 Is Worrying Us

Celebrities undergoing drastic transformations in their weights, and appearances are not uncommon. Over the years, several actors including Jim Carrey, Anna Hathaway, and Russell Crowe have admitted the pain and struggle of undergoing extreme transformations in order to fit into a particular role, which mind you comes with plenty of health risks. The latest to do so is Kim Kardashian.

Earlier today, Kim stunned everyone by wearing Marilyn Monroe’s famous “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” gown from 1962 at the Met Gala. While she looked breathtaking in the nude bodycon embellished with crystals, her 2022 Met Gala look came with a very strict (read hazardous) diet plan. While talking to a leading daily on the red carpet, the reality TV star revealed she had to change her body in order to fit into the iconic outfit.

To get the look, Kim said she had to lose sixteen pounds in three weeks. “It was this or nothing,” she shared in her interview. She further elaborated she would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out sugar and carbs, and would just eat clean vegetables and protein. After following the strict diet for a month and fitting into the dress, she confessed, “I wanted to cry tears of joy when it went up”, and went on to state that she’ll finally get to dig into an extra-large pizza at the end of the night!

Well, TBH, we think a dress should be tailored to fit you and not the other way round. As for Kim, we wish her look came with a statutory warning that the drastic transformation was only possible under expert supervision and that attempting celebrity-inspired crash diets can only prove to be harmful, sometimes even fatal.
