New limited-edition free tours in Europe and the United Kingdom let you walk in the footsteps of your fave characters
If you’re in Europe between July 11 and 17, you can try a free tour with a difference. If you tend to binge watch your favourite show, these tours are perfect to immerse yourself into their locations.
We’re talking of shows such as Anatomy of a Scandal, Emily in Paris, Bridgerton, Enola Holmes, The Crown, Top Boy, Lupin, Cable Girls, Elite, Money Heist, and Valeria.
These tours come to you courtesy SANDEMANs New Europe Tours, who are known for their immersive approach to helping visitors explore a new city or even discover new layers to cities they have visited before.
In a news release, the tour company explained the rationale behind From Screen to Streets, its collaboration with Netflix. “Great stories transport us to places we’ve never been, immerse us in cultures far from our own, and peak our curiosity about the world around us. So far this year, more than 70% of viewing on Netflix has come from members watching a title from a country other than their own. Netflix is where audiences go to fall in love with other countries and cultures. And we’ve heard from our members that the location of that series or film is frequently their top travel destination, driving cultural affinity and tourism.”
The guided walking tours highlight must-see locations from favourite Netflix shows and films, and the tour guide will have plenty of BTS trivia to share alongside the usual information you need to enjoy the destination.
If you pick a tour in London – because you heart Bridgerton, The Crown, Enola Holmes and the like – you enjoy St James’s, the West End and Lancaster House. Paris, on the other hand, will transport you to the worlds of Lupin and Emily in Paris as you explore Pont Neuf, Notre Dame, the Pantheon and the Luxembourg Gardens.
In Madrid, you’ll walk through iconic locations such as Gran Via (above), Callao and Chueca district, just right to give you BTS feels of series such as Cable Girls, Money Heist, Elite and Valeria.
