A Danish word for ‘authentic’, Aegte is the brainchild of couple Rupali Sharma and Dhiren Sharma, who joined forces to combine the power of Ayurveda and natural ingredients to offer quality solutions regarding skin and hair care to its customers.
Aegte houses a total of 28 different products related to makeup, skin and haircare. Their skin care products include face washes, serums, skin lightening creams, skin oils, sunscreens, and acne creams.

Aegte also provides haircare products such as hair oils, rice shampoo and conditioner, and hair masks. The brand stepped into the makeup sector with products such as Lip and Cheek Tint Balms, Skin Corrector DD Cream, liquid matte lipsticks, lip gloss, eyeliner, eyebrow and eyelash growth serum to name a few. These products have been trusted and appreciated by over five lakh customers in India.Emerging as one of the top vegan beauty brand, Aegte has made a major breakthrough in the beauty industry with the launch of androgynous products. Brand Evolution And Reinvention
It is estimated that the beauty industry will reach $30 billion in sales by 2025. Rupali Sharma; Founder of Aegte mentions that they had recently expanded their customer base and included residents belonging to tier 2 and 3 cities due to their awareness of better skin and hair care regimes as well as better access to technology. They have also taken a step further and introduced another segment in their venture that entails quality makeup products for their potential customers.
She further states that the lockdown imposed in the country brought some logistical restrictions but encouraged people to incline more towards online shopping. “While we were quick in adopting all possible tech to promote contactless deliveries, we were also aware of the importance of hygiene of our delivery package, so we started sanitising all packages which were handed to delivery partners and stickers were pasted to inform customers about the same. To aid women looking to start a new venture, they came up with an initiative called Empowered Women Empower Others (EWEO) where Aegte provides financial assistance of up to Rs. 5 lakh to enterprising women aspiring to create something of their own.

Rupali Sharma explains that their bestseller product, Lip and Cheek Tint, not only functions as a lip balm but can also be used as a blush on cheeks and as an eyeshadow on eyelids, thereby providing the features of three different products in a single tint. Similarly, their DD cream not only offers great coverage but effectively hides dark spots and contains SPF for sun protection.
They have often come up with newer trends in the market, be it their famous Lip and Cheek Tint or Onion Hair oil, which they came up within 2018. With their recent launch for men-oriented products, breaking the stereotypes, Aegte is aiming towards a free culture. “Our product ideas set us apart, therefore Aegte sets the trend for others to follow,” Rupali Sharma concludes.
