Congratulations are in order to Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi as the former Miss India tied the knot with her beau in an intimate ceremony on 15th February in Pali Hill, Mumbai. She made a stunning bride, keeping her look classic and elegant.

We’ve seen brides wear pinks and pastels, but red remains our favourite. The colour red looks magnificent, vibrant and there’s something about it which we can’t get over. Red is considered auspicious in the Indian culture and we can say that a bride’s trousseau is incomplete without an outfit in this color. Dia wore a red banarasi saree. The highlight of her saree was the thick golden border.
Banarasi sarees were originally crafted for the people of the royal family. Made from threads of gold and silver it takes approximately a year to complete one saree. Banarasi sarees are one of the most adorned pieces in a bride’s wardrobe. They come in different varieties like silk, organza, tissue, chiffon there is a wide range. Dia opted for a silk banarasi saree from Raw Mango.

She chose a classic red look for her D-day, paired her saree with a red dupatta with a gold border over her head. Dia completed her look with a gold kundan choker, maang tikka, jhumkaas and bangles. With mogras tied to her hair in a sleek bun she looks absolutely gorgeous.

Vaibhav Rekhi the Mumbai based businessman opted for a white kurta and bandhgala with a creamish gold color saafa which matched Dia’s look. We are totally in love with their look, Dia does make beautiful bride.
